2026 TCS New York City Marathon
Ready, Set, Race Like A Girl!
The Chick Mission is thrilled to be an official charity partner of New York Road Runners for the 2026 TCS New York City Marathon on Sunday, November 1, 2026. The iconic course runs through all five New York City boroughs, making it a 26.2-mile block party highlighting the energy and diversity of the Big Apple. Through this partnership, we’re racing (like girls!) to fund fertility preservation for women battling cancer. Every stride we take towards 26.2 miles is a reminder of our collective resilience and that women are built to do hard things.
Please follow the instructions below to be considered for our 2026 TCS New York City Marathon race team. Applications submitted by February 25 will be prioritized; other applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis as limited spots remain available.
1. Fill out our official race team application
2. Fill out NYRR’s Non-Guaranteed Entry Drawing Application for a chance to “win” a bib – only a small % of runners are selected to participate this way, but it’s always worth a shot! The lottery deadline is February 25.
3. On March 4, you will receive notice of your lottery application status – if you were selected in the drawing or not. Please email events@thechickmission.org on March 4 with your lottery status.
- If you received a bib via the lottery, congratulations! You now have a bib for the 2026 TCS New York City Marathon. You can still participate in The Chick Mission’s team and fundraise with us; however, a formal fundraising requirement is not required with lottery entry.
- If you did not receive a bib via the lottery (like we said, it’s tough odds!), read on and keep an eye out for further communications from The Chick Mission team.
4. Once The Chick Mission confirms which interested runners have received bibs via the lottery or not, we will finalize our official race team members no later than March 20. Please be on the lookout for a message from us, which will confirm:
1) You have a guaranteed spot on our team for 2026!
2) You have been added to our slate of alternates in case of team member injuries / drop outs.
3) We are unable to offer you a spot this year.

As an official member of the NYC Marathon Chicks, you receive:
- Coveted spot in the 2026 TSC New York City Marathon
- Personal fundraising page and individualized fundraising assistance from The Chick Mission’s development staff
- Official Chick Mission marathon ~merchandise~
- Training tips, race day encouragement, team-building activities, and more!
As an official member of the NYC Marathon Chicks, you are required to:
- Commit to raising at least $5,000 by November 30, 2026
- Spread the word to your network (family, friends, colleagues, etc) encouraging support of your race campaign and The Chick Mission
- Enjoy every stride in support of women battling cancer!
